Uniform Guide

Purchasing Uniforms

Uniform clothing is available at Shaheen’s Department Store, both at 944 Breckenridge and on the store website shaheens.com. Ask a sales associate or use the website “School Finder” to find approved uniform items for LCA. Free shipping is available with all online orders. Shaheen’s Department Store carries some LCA uniform items in stock and ready for purchase/pick-up. If Shaheen’s does not have a clothing item already embroidered and in stock, the embroidery turn-around time is approximately 7-10 business days, and the item can be shipped to your home at no charge.

Girls’ Pants (K – Gr. 12)

Girls may wear khaki or navy pants in particular styles purchased from Shaheen’s. Older girls may only wear the Dickies Skinny Junior or the Dickies Curvy styles; younger girls may wear only the Classroom brand. See a sales associate at Shaheen’s for assistance. Proper sizes should be purchased to ensure that pants are not tight-fitting.

Boys’ Pants (K – Gr. 12)

Boys’ pants are available for purchase at Shaheen’s; however, it is not required that boys’ pants be a certain brand or purchased at Shaheen’s. Boys may wear any pants that match the uniform pants in cut, style, and color. Therefore, boys may wear Docker-style navy or khaki pants that do not have patch pockets (pockets made of an extra piece of material sewn to the outside of the pants). Boys in K3 - first grade may wear pants with an elastic waistband instead of belt loops. Administration reserves the right to decide whether pants match the uniform pants enough to be acceptable.

Boys’ and Girls’ Shorts (K – Gr. 2 only)

Boys and girls in kindergarten through second grade may wear uniform shorts purchased from Shaheen’s during the warm times of year. Please do not send your child to school in shorts in cooler weather when students may still go outside for recess. Boys may wear the Tom Sawyer brand, and girls may wear the Classroom brand. Shorts with elastic waistbands are also available in Classroom brand for younger students who cannot yet fasten a belt.

Girls’ Skirts (K – Gr. 12)

Girls may choose between two skirt colors (navy blue or khaki). Uniform skirts must be purchased at Shaheen’s and meet the proper skirt length requirements as stated in the Handbook. Girls in grade 1-5 are required to wear a navy uniform skirt as part of their choir uniform. Girls may wear socks, tights, or leggings under their skirts. Athletic leggings, athletic pants, or other pants are not allowed to be worn under skirts. Furthermore, to not distract from the look of the uniform, in grades 4-12, tights, leggings, or socks that extend above crew length must match and be solid colors of white, tan, blue, black, or grey.

Jumpers (K – Gr. 2 only)

Girls’ uniform jumpers are available at Shaheen’s for kindergarten and lower elementary only; however, it is not required that these uniform jumpers be purchased at Shaheen’s. Kindergarten and lower elementary girls may wear any khaki or navy uniform jumper that abides by the knee-length skirt requirement as stated in the Handbook. Administration reserves the right to decide whether a jumper is acceptable.

Shirts

Polo shirts must be purchased from Shaheen’s Department Store. Students may choose between three shirt colors (royal blue, hunter green, and pastel yellow). Long-sleeved and short-sleeved polos are available. Each shirt will be embroidered with "Landmark Christian Academy" by Shaheen’s.
